This "bench mark" was found at the bottom of Neal Mountain, Waite, on the side of Route 1. It was placed in a rock, as you can see. If anybody knows what this is, please let us know.
Yes this is part of the survey marking the US Canadian boundary the USCGS is now the USGS , prior to the 1930's their mission was to mark the boundary and inventory resources (animals and trees etc) of the country .
