We are looking for anybody interested in the history of our area, also in the artifacts of which can be found. We would like to know anything you know about the area, (old house sites, bottle dumps, cemeteries, schools, etc..). We will be posting what we know about the area once we get a chance. If you have any information or questions for us, please e mail us at arcwashingtoncounty@gmail.com.
I have to admit a bit of envy on my part. You see, I am approaching the age of 51 and have been a collector/digger of old bottles for decades now. My body is beginning to feel the effects of age but I still find some time to get out for a day or two to locate dumps and do some digging. Those dumps are getting harder to find but there is another source that has been under-utilized: privies!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see you with such enthusiasm and it's great that you are posting your adventures. If you are ever looking for some help in identifying what you have found and perhaps estimating it's value then give me a few lines. I'll be happy to help. Good luck out there!

Thank you, Jody. We will keep you in mind if we need help. Right now we are trying to get our feet on the ground but hope to do some selling eventually. But if we may ask, how did you hear about us? We just would like to know how our name is getting around. Thanks!
